This course follows one piece of field compaction testing through GeotechOS. The office books it on the iPad in Lab. A tester tests the points on site with the Field app on a phone. Each point then comes back to the laboratory as a sample, with its MDD to do.

What you need
- A free GeotechOS account.
- Your laboratory's licensed copy of AS 1289.5.8.1 and the methods it runs with it. The course gives clause numbers, never the standard's text or limits.

Questions
Does the course teach the MDD test?
No. The MDD of each point's sample is a laboratory test with its own course, the dry density–moisture relationship.
Can a tester make the visit on site?
Yes. A job made in the Field app for a project with field testing waiting asks which work request it is for, and links them.
