Log a hole on the desktop

Check the log

Use the Checks pane in Borehole Logging to find what is missing or wrong in a borehole log before you print it, and go straight to the row to fix it.

Applies toWindows and macOSWeb browser

Borehole Logging checks each hole while you work. The Checks pane lists what is missing or wrong. Fix the checks before you print or issue the log.

Open the checks

  1. Open the hole.
  2. In the bottom panel, click Checks. The number after Checks is the number of errors and warnings.

To show the bottom panel, click View › Bottom panel, or press Ctrl+J. You can also click Hole › Checks.

Go to the problem

Click a check. The app opens the table, selects the row and the cell, and you can fix it. For a check about the hole's header, the app opens the details or the full header at the field.

When you fix the problem, the check goes away.
