Pick up cylinders from site

Cylinders and cubes that you make on site stay there in their moulds until a tester collects them. Lab records three steps for each specimen, each with a time and the person who did it:

1. Picked up from site, with its condition.
2. Stripped from its mould.
3. Into curing, with the tank or room.

Each step goes on the specimen's chain of custody. The steps must come in this order.

Open Pickups

1. Tap Site.
2. Tap Pickups. It shows how many specimens are waiting, for example 3 waiting on site.

Pickups lists the specimens that are not in curing yet, grouped by the site where they are. A specimen that is not picked up one day after it was made shows Overdue.

Pick up the specimens

1. Tap each specimen that you collect, or tap Tick all at this site. You can also tap Scan a label and scan each label.
2. Tap Pick up, for example Pick up 6 cylinders.
3. Check When.
4. Under Condition, choose Acceptable or Damaged. If a specimen is damaged, type what you saw in Notes.
5. Tap Record.

Lab shows the step at once, for example Picked up 1:27 pm (not sent). It sends the step with the next sync, so you can record it without signal.

Strip and cure them

At the laboratory:

1. Tick the specimens, then tap Strip, for example Strip 6 cylinders. Tap Record.
2. Tick them again, then tap Put into curing.
3. In Cured in, type the tank or room, for example Tank 1.
4. Tap Record.

The specimens leave the list. They are ready to break on their day.

You can only record the same step for specimens at the same stage. If you tick specimens at different stages, Lab tells you to tick ones at the same step.

Beams and prisms

A beam or a drying shrinkage prism goes into curing still in its mould. After you put it into curing, it stays on the list as To strip. Strip it when it is ready.
